No, a-spirate.com or @-Spirate.com is not named after
anything with biological meanings.
In fact, the domain is called @-Spirate.
And since ‘@’ is an invalid character for a domain name, i had substituted it for an ‘a’.
@-Spirate is formed from its root word ‘aspire’, which
depicts my desires in striving for the best in whatever I do - including
this site, and my life. Since ‘aspire’ or ‘@-spire’ sound more like a
verb, i have added a suffix ‘-ate’ to make it look more like a noun.
Thus, the domain name a-spirate.com.
Strictly speaking, @-Spirate.com was designed to be a site for web solutions - like web design.
Later years, I decided that @-Spirate.com should be use as a personal
trademark name for my specially designed cards. The reason is simply that
I have designed more cards than webpages, and I love the ‘professional’
look of my cards with the phrase ‘An @-Spirate.com design’. 
Eventually, I bought this domain on 14 December 2005, intend for a personal
site (with blog entries) which also provides freebies and simple web solutions
for visitors.

If you read about me, you will know that I’m obsessed with my rabbit doll.
Pardon me for the sticky caps used in ‘lAbbiT’ as it is my slang [or
purposed misspelt] of the word ‘rabbit’. I had used ‘lAbbiT’ as a nick
in the game Ragnarok Online,
and so the carried forward.
‘The lAbbiT’s journey’ is an imaginary journey of a rabbit doll, named
Keai (the rabbit on lAbbiT’s journey layout).
She is accompanied by a loyal, comparative in size dog - Kylie, and rabbit cousins - Ke-er (a royal princess) and Kerina.. and many others. Together they formed the “lAbbiT sidekick” gang. They are bold enough to venture into the woods, where their little big adventure begins.
