this is horrible. I have been spending and spending on the wrong things! I think ah, average out, I can spend up to 40 bucks per 50-minute lesson’s materials.

My coming lesson observation’s materials, I think i spent $13 x 4 boxes of electro chemistry set, $20 on 1 box of volcano set… and then i bought litmus papers (so no need go through hassle of requisitions from the lab next time) and universal indicator papers - 3 x $11 each.. omg, that is about $110 already. Not counting those miscellaneous things like vinegar, bicarbonate of soda, lemons.. trays .. etc… my bonus will be gone just likdat.. even though most materials can be recycled..

sad.. how to save cost to make a very wonderful lesson? I think my next few observations have to minimize on cost liao.. must be cost-effective..

oh, did i forgot to mention that my work contract status is going to be upgraded to permanent?

I received a letter through the school/principal that moe will be replacing my contract to a permanent contract soon sometime back 2-3 weeks ago? and that i will be entering the NIE on the next available intake subjected to vacancy etc. That is to say, if there is space for me in NIE, i will be entering in Jan. But who knows when NIE will send me the notification letter? It’s going to be another week more only before I am on holidays. Hopefully, I will get the notification letter asap so i wun have to check the mailbox in school on non-working days (might have to trouble my school CCPE to help me check )

ok anyway, it would be good to go NIE soon, but that means I will have to wish and hope that i will be posted back for practicum in order to be with everybody else.. anyway there is appeal letters to write.. and i think i might need to discuss with the P etc.. haha anyway just hope things go on smoothly for all of us. Really hope that everyone will be able to come back..!

oh ya, i forgot to introduce a new contract teacher who is doing co-teaching with me for the graduating class. Anyway in mid-september came 3 more contract teachers in my school, they are: Mr Lee, Miss Yap and Miss Lim. yay, no more lonely “days”..

It so happen that Mr Lee is taking the graduating classes for Physics as well, so we are doing co-teaching together. And, because we entered the class together.. or maybe sometimes seen together, even though we are discussing work most of the time.. all 3 of my graduating classes all mistakenly thought we are an item -.-” these students! no point clarrifying with them loh, I just ignore or just calmly say we are not.. aiyah.. these students see me with which male teacher then will say different targets de lah.. like my norm tech student will say that their form teacher and me etc.. grrr

anyway, put that aside, yesterday a girl questioned mr lee,

“How do you magnetise a magnet?”

totally speechless.

I photocopied it, because this kind of thing only happen once in 10 years’ time. To add on, she’s strickly one of my first batch of students..
